About Mary

Mary is a dedicated community-builder and educator who communicates with clarity, intelligence and warmth.  She skillfully applies wisdom gained in leading both Christian and Buddhist faith communities.  Mary is passionate about helping men and women experience deep happiness through self-discovery and meditation.

In 1996, after completing her doctorate in Sociology (UNC-CH), Mary devoted herself to studying and using methods of Personnalite et Relations Humaines (PRH). With thousands of hours of training and supervision, Mary launched her private practice in 2004. She is an active partner of the PRH Education professional community on the West Coast.

In addition to meeting with individuals and small growth groups through her private practice, Mary has been an adjunct faculty member in Seattle University’s Masters in Transformational Leadership program since 2013. There she teaches Spiritual Discernment and Decision-Making and provides coaching for Masters students in their internships.

Mary is a senior student at the Kadampa Meditation Center in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, where she teaches Mahayana Buddhist meditation. She is currently serving as Administrative Director of the center.
